The designed facility is a multidisciplinary inpatient hospital with 436 beds, intended to provide children with specialized, including high-tech, medical care in inpatient settings, as well as primary specialized healthcare services in outpatient settings.
The construction project ‘Construction of a 436-bed inpatient ward for the Irkutsk State Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital (State Budgetary Healthcare Institution)’ is located at: 4 Gagarin Boulevard, Irkutsk, item 1 on the site plan.
The spatial and layout design of the proposed building has been adopted taking into account the urban planning context, the location of existing buildings in the surrounding area, the technical layout, sunlight conditions, and the creation of a unified spatial environment.
The Irkutsk Regional State Children’s Clinical Hospital is designed to comprise: an outpatient clinic capable of handling 300 patient visits per shift, an inpatient ward with 436 beds, an intensive care unit with 24 beds, an operating theatre block with 8 operating theatres, and is intended to provide round-the-clock high-tech medical care for children.
The planned hospital building must provide a safe and comfortable environment for children, mothers and staff, as well as create conditions that ensure a high standard of care and efficiency among medical staff, and promote the rational use of medical equipment.
The development is planned for an undeveloped site facing 3 Iyulya Street.
The building will be seven storeys high, with a technical loft and a basement.
The overall dimensions of the two intersecting building blocks, measured at their axes, are as follows: the first block – 25.0 x 176.9 m; the second block – 25.0 x 164.9 m.
